I'm outta wintersville. It's one of the guys going to court house that claims he was told mostly d&h.

 

I would think it would be opposite since you have a better chance running dry remix loads out of wintersville. It's not that bad of a job, office staff seems like they are easy to get along with and area you service ain't to bad. I don't mind when I get a chance to swing through and run grocery.

 

It seems like the few people I've talked to that have done wintersville have liked it.

 

So every day we have a load that goes from GB to Cedar Falls. The shipper usually has the trailer loaded early, and you can easily make the trip in a day, drop and hook both ends. The consignee only unloads one trailer per day. So if I deliver the Monday load on Sunday night the consignee doesn't have an empty for me. I bobtail out. In no time the trailer pool is ####ed and the consignee is having to pay for freight before they've sold the last shipment so their cash flow is ####ed.

Think of it like a bucket brigade. You can't move buckets faster than the slowest link and a logjam happens. Cleaving logjams tends to be a hairy deal.

 

The thing that sucks the most about wintersville is the location. Nice long winding 2 lane roads getting in and out of the dc.

The job itself is easy.

 

is that the black hole in south east Ohio??? Man, if it's the place I'm thinking of, I hope I never go back there.....man, it's just really, really out there. But, it has a lovely view, kinda like Tunkhannock PA.....ain't in no hurry to go back there either

Oh good god I've been there once. Do not wanna go back. Nope. Nope. Not doing it. I'd rather go pick up a "preloaded" trailer that'll be "ready" at 0600 from Battle Creek than go back there
