Trueth or just upset !

There is no good OTR trucking company. Only degrees of bad. Thats the first thing any Newbie should know.

Want to be honest? How can anyone with a strait face say working someone 70+hrs a week at any time day or night 24/7 with no OT (not covered by the FLSA) to get paid the same wages people where making over a decade ago driving puts any of them anywhere near a good company title. It's laughable to even suggest it.

You go down the hill a lot faster then you went up it. Why waste it working yourself to death.

Do a couple of years in the meat grinder save every penny you can and take your time and find a good local gig newbies. Then if they want to work you 70hrs they will have to pay for it.

 

This attitude is contributing to the downfall of our industry. If your something special- go for it. If your the village idiot it will shine through and you will be offered mediocre positions. I'm a woman, decided what I wanted, and flat out went for it - and therefore have little tolerance for men that just need to grow a pair - so quit discounting what you have to offer. Be sure to grab the endorsements relevant to what you want to operate and then apply with confidence. Play hard to get if ya gotta...this is how the men are seperated from the boys.
