My apologies for not getting that done yet. I have not been busy at all... I have for some (good!) Reason suddenly been assigned about 3x my normal volume to move starting the morning after I posted that I would get that done. Possibly this weekend...ohiobred Thanks this.

Get it while you can folks. I have both kinds of straps. I think i know how to use a lasso but prob not. lol. Kansas Transport, you were saying you double the strap back over itself. I dont think I quite understand, thats why i was wondering about a pic. thanx for all the info
KANSAS TRANSIT Thanks this. -
Pretty much like cinching a horse saddle, stand in front of the tire (front tire pulling back at a 45 toward the center of the car, hold ring in your left hand at the edge of the tire tread
and wrap the strap around the BACK of the tire first and then across the front over to your ring, pull strap thru underside of ring and then back over the ring in the same direction you came from, run that end thru your ratchet and tighten, adjust (move) your ratchet hook closer or further away so that when you tighten you have no tail left to deal with, if strap loosens a little just pull another click on ratchet, don't have to undue or untie a folded tail.
