I am on the fence on these dang expensive lights!
Tough to decide. What if one screws up? I have to go get another 300.00 light and wait for a warranty refund. Ahg. -
If I could go back I'd buy them again.
Really bright and they look good tooMattflat362 Thanks this. -
I did a total rewire with all new factory weatherpack plugs. The biggest thing I see with these is make sure you have good ground. They do seem sensitive to ground.
I had factory fog lamp wiring. I wired my halo to the fog light switch since I dont have fog lights. The bright and dim I wired up like normal and I made sure I had good ground wires. I have not had 1 single problem with these lights personally.
I wish I could be of more help. Id make sure you have good solid ground and getting good 12v out to the headlights from your factory wiring.
Honestly, these were one of the best investments on my truck I've ever made. They are awsome at night and I do alot of night time driving.Last edited: Oct 16, 2018
spsauerland, Mattflat362 and SAR Thank this. -
Is it just the snow pack that is the issue for you or is the color of the light also a problem in snow fall?snowman_w900 and SAR Thank this.

Hey @snowman_w900, do you still have those trux Led lights? Have they gotten condensation in them? I'm looking to put them in as well, just want to make sure they're a good investment long term. thanks
-
I've since sold that truck. But I did get condensation in the one side. The light still worked good and it seemed like the condensation would recede. I didn't like that thoughMattflat362 and idigwesternstar Thank this.

Also, I would blue thread locker on the mounting bolts. About half of mine loosened off after 1 logging season.idigwesternstar Thanks this.

Ok, great info to know, thanks man! I was afraid of the condensation deal, not sure how to get away from it. Have a buddy that's running some Trux sealed beams 4x6, and has condensation in one as well. Not sure if that's a weakness Trux has? Maybe should start a new thread seeing if guys are having that problem with Trux brand.

Man I am all for cool stuff but 700+ for F&%*%ing headlights is dumb dumb dumb.
And if one fails you will be out 1k while waiting for your warranty replacement!?
I'll pass......actually I'll run!
