Hi all, I'm new here, I signed up because I thought it would be a good idea to ask for advice from other truckers.
So I got my CDL from a company that i then drove for, and about 5 months in I was fired for, quite frankly, a bs company policy that I was unaware of, and despite my best efforts they were determined to go through with the firing. It was NOT safety related though, I wanna stress that. I had a few safety issues in 2021 when I was driving box trucks for a Non-CDL company (a speeding ticket for 12 over and an accident that resulted in a stowaway, but no injuries or fines). Since getting my CDL I have kept a perfect safety record though.
I'm trying to get another job driving but I can't seem to get on with any of the Megas. Swift, schneider, CR England, they've all turned me down. I'm settling for Western Express but they're not actually communicating with me so I have no idea where I'm at with them. Every few days I'll just get a message from driver Pulse that they did a background check or something. I have one company that told me if I can get 6 months in a tractor trailer they can hire me, but I can't even get that. I not looking for a good job right now, I'm just looking for something I can do for at least 6 months so I can get back in to trucking. Does anyone have any suggestions for what I could do?
