You'll enjoy their hotel. Hotel is nice, actually breakfast that's free(as long as you remember your little ticket things they'll give you) and lots of food places around.

I am struggling with this same situation, but between Averitt and Tmc. I am also scheduled to be in cookeville Jan 4th. To attend orientation for Averitt.

almost any company you start with isn't going to be where you end up. Get some experience is the biggest thing. Some people like flat bed others reefer some automatics some 13 speeds
You can think you want to do this today but it is all different out here. Advice from experienced drivers whose needs wants and ideas about what is good or bad about the industry is useless until you have enough experience to get that job
to me anyone BUT CR England and Western Express is on the list
and if you have 5 dui's and no work history for last 5 years they are ok too

I'd rather work for Western Express than Averitt.

That's the same time I drove for First Fleet; Averitts little sister. Horrible experience.

I drive for a contractor that pulls for UPS, FedEx and Averitt. I have been to many Averitt terminals east of I-35. Everyone of them have the friendliest and happy company drivers that I see anywhere. I don't know what Averitt does to keep them all happy. But whatever it is it works. They treat contract drivers and drop shipment drivers with the same respect. Go with Averitt.
