Just a quick update. I just finished my 2nd week with my trainer. He is extremely professional, truly interested in training, and a great guy. We ran 2400 miles the first week, and 2700 miles the 2nd week. Everyone I have met at Averitt has been great so far. I will try to come back and make an occasional update as I progress.

My training is officially done. I finished up with my trainer the week before last and finished backing school this past Thursday. Got back to Nashville on Thursday afternoon and had to put my truck in the shop to get the APU worked on. Hopefully it will be ready to go Monday morning and I will be starting on my first full week as a solo driver. Enjoying everything so far. The training has been very thorough and everyone has been very professional. The backing school was awesome and it was a great confidence builder.

Sounds like typical Averitt. Both with the older trucks in the shop for one reason or another and the training. LOL
Congrats and stay safe. Call someone if you need help, and don't be afraid to ask questions. Even the dumb ones can keep you out of trouble... I ask my FM those types ALL the time. LMAOkiwi23, MidTennTrucker and chopper103in Thank this. -
