Nope. That only applies to ships, trains, and planes, not trucks. And it's not to the place they hired you. It's to your point of departure. So if you live in Iowa and got on a ship in Miami they only have to get you back to Miami. It's academic here though since trucking companies can kick you off their truck anywhere they want.

 

Just deadhead to their nearest terminal!, Don’t worry about a load
