Finally received TSA electronic clearance, and got my HME....Very slow (5 1/2 weeks) because Maryland handles their own TSA applications, and did their usual fumble (lost data files), but hell, that keeps 20-30 state employees employed. They use their own process for the initial TWIC apps too, which slows them as well.
Thanks to all who responded. Hope it goes better for others.

Just another example of why the government should never get involved - it will ALWAYS get screwed up.

My TSA check took about a week to get back to me.

In Virginia, the local DMV told me they've been getting the letters back in 10-12 days, but it might take mine a few days longer due to the holidays. I tested a week ago and submitted the form/fingerprints at the same time. Time will tell how long it actually takes. Virginia will allow you to test before receiving the form back, but DMV won't actually add the endorsement to your license until after the form is received.

Im at over 5 Weeks now in Texas. Already training but my employer is getting frustrated. Sent two requests to look into it and no response.
