wow, another 3000d slugout. few years ago there was one on this site and 5 pages into it some guy tried telling people water injection and F.A.S.S. were snake oil too. I guess the onlything that's been settled is that the turbo 3000d is still junk. nice to know

Here's the one claim to remember. "It takes a while for the results to show up because it has to clean the system out first." When the rep told me this I asked how often the t-3 had to be cleaned out. When he said never I laughed and said what is it cleaning out if it never accumulates anything?
It's simple really, if swift, hunt or any other large company could save money by running these things they would be on the truck. Any company running 1000 trucks with these on them and saving only .10 ( 1/10th of a mile per gallon) per mile will save $750,000 per year at 3.00 per gallon. That gives an R.O.I. of less than 6 months on purchase and install. There isn't a banker or accountant out that would call that a bad idea, more like a great idea.
So why aren't the large companies using them? -
That's not true. Big company's don't run by-pass filters, air tabs, pittsburg power products. That don't mean the stuff don't work. Big company's don't care about fuel milage as much as we do. Think about it, tax write offs, we need our money now. Sorry dude I just hate the fact that you look up to a big company, on ways to setup your truck, the same people who run loads for 80 cents per mile, driving rates into the ground. Fyi SWIFT don't keep their trucks long enough to do all the upgrades, they buy'em, run'em, then sell'em. That truck or the driver don't mean a hill-of-beans to them//

I work for one of those big companies. Profit margins are razor thin due to increased overhead. I mean thin like 3 percent profit. Tax writeoffs are easy to find, profits are #### tough. When anybody says they got into trucking for the tax writeoffs I laugh. Nobody goes into to business to lose money. The irs won't let you lose money for more than 3 years in a row before they think you have a spendy hobby. Yes I know you can lose money forever like gm did. Seen many trucking companies do it like that? GM was able to come back, I can't think of a trucking company able to.
Most companies will look at all new technologies out there, they have in case it works. Remember hydrogen injection? They bought one unit and tried it for about a year. The needed alternator was 3.5 times more money to buy and has a shorter lifespan beforeit fails.
In the end the unit could not make enough gas to impact fuel mileage enough to offset costs. I've seen the inside of the turbo 3000D. All it does it add a restriction to the fuel line. How will that save you money and make more power?rrw811 Thanks this. -
turbo 3000D is a bust
-
One thing I cant figure out about it is how it cleans the inside of the engine? I can see how it could adimize the fuel flow maybe help the fuel flow smoother through the fuel line but once it goes through the injector it will be how the injector patterns the flow.
KW Parts Guy Thanks this. -
put one on my c-15 accert after i had the powermax installed. powermax worked, turbo 3000 decreased performance, no change in mileage.
-
Well I used the turbo 3000 on an isx and was 5.25mpg for approx 10k and with t3000 was 5.74mpg for approx 10k soo u do the math

The Turbo3000d VADA and the Ecotaz ECO-5 are both pretty much the ole magical tube in the fuel line and have been tested by numberous posters on this forum with no gains in fuel mileage. If you will do an honest test without wanting it to work so bad you might find out the samething instead of fooling yourself with more conservative driving habits that really improved your fuel mileage and not the magical tube in the fuel line.
Both will help in fuel pressure stabalization in the fuel line for those that have modified their ECMs more than stock. This is due to the extra storage capacity of fuel right before it enters into the motor that helps stabalize that fuel pressure.
Note: I have personally tested both magical tubes on my own truck.
