In my old outlaw days I drove all kinds of trucks with a CH Endorsement, The CDL has only been on for 2.5 years. So I just leave my truck driving at 2 years for now.

Yup been there done that.......was an O/O for 23+ years sold my truck 3 years ago, and started driving a company truck that was and still is governed at 60 mph
. I bought the cable and software off E-bay to access the ECM and change whatever I wanted when I wanted and view everything the ECM has stored. I still have the cable and software but I doubt I will use it working for this company as they saw someone had changed the governed speed back to their 60 limit (I knew the truck was going in for something that would require accessing the ECM so I changed it back) good thing I did as all the ECM recorded was a speed change, the date when done. All the ECM records is the last 3 changes and It doesn't say what the previous set speed was but thats easy to find out via the ecms avg speed, etc. Long story short.....they never asked me about it but left a copy of the report on the dash stating the ECM was accessed by someone other than them. So I guess I could of got fired but they just left it sort of as a warning, so I owe them the same respect back not to tamper with it again. I guess that fair.
