I have a 2019 Cascadia. When turn signals or blinkers are on, all the bulbs work fine but it does not make any clicking sounds to indicate my turning lights are on, and that makes me always forget to turn it off once a turn or lane change is completed. Anybody know how to fix this?

, excuse me, most old timers are surely getting a chuckle out of this. There were 3 rules of thumb to being a truck driver. Never step on a steer tire to get in a truck, ( cabover), open the right door 1st, and don't forget the turn signal. Years ago, we could spot a newbie with the signal flashing for miles. I don't recall turn signals making any "report", if they did, the motor was too loud to hear it anyway. It was your duty to cancel the signal when turn or lane change was complete. I do believe there is a buzzer or chime on newer trucks, and an audible device, like low air may even be required. Usually plumbed into the flasher. Find it, and you will most likely see a buzzer nearby.

What happens if you step on the steer tire to get in the truck?Bean Jr. Thanks this.

Ah, the innocence of youth. Stepping on the steer tire indicated you drove a cabover. I read, there is a "speaker" behind the gauge cluster that is probably either disconnected, or ka-put.Numb Thanks this.

The KW pictured in this photo beeped when any flasher was on. Drove me nuts. My truck now is silent, yea. I always wondered what devil came up with the noise making turn signal.

I hauled cans out of the railyards in Chicago. Most of the time it was in my trucks, normal ones like an FLD or my uncle's 379. I drove for one company in a Volvo. I was ready to shoot that thing after listening to the flashers for half an hour!201 Thanks this.

used to be you could just change the relay for a noisy one.

You run the risk of a hasty inadvertent dismount... especially in the morning, with dew on the tire. At a MINIMUM, you could tap your chin on the door sill. If you don't know how to fall, you could land on your ###, shoulder, or head on the ground.Flat Earth Trucker Thanks this.

I don't know you. I started doing it in the teens. I can imagine how bad they were back then!201 Thanks this.
