Turned down by TMC....why?

Kenneth...he was in the newbie class...i'm very proud of him...he's doing really good....they have lost quiet a few so far due to either TMC sending them home or some of them have just quit

 

HMMMM i dont remember him, sorry. I know they were dropping like flies but that is good that the company dont put up with any crap. They sent a few home for partying at the bar and 2 failed a drug test. I was in the exp driver class and they moved 2 of our guys into the newbie class because they did so bad on the test and failed the road test.

 

yeah they still have a few that are partying pretty hard...almost everynight...but i'm sure their day will come.... they had another quit today...said he was sick and just never showed up...had one quit but called and told his wife they kicked him out...they called to check on him and see if they could help him in anyway...wife says ...you kicked him out...they said..nooooo...hate to be in that house when he gets home

 

LMAO he is in trouble. They are really good people there and they seem to care and will take the time to help anyone who wants to be helped and wants to learn.

Wow I can't believe some are so stupid to party, I mean its a job interview basically and they are paying you to be there so to me your on duty the whole time.,I guess they are not taking it too seriously. I plan to focus on learning and getting the job if and when I get there.

What are the other reasons some are quiting or getting let go? How many are in your class?

 

some quit because they never did flatbed before and it is alot more work than lets say a van or refer. Some dont like rules and think the training is stupid and some are just plain dumb LOL

 

I agree with bangngears...from what hubby says...most that are leaving are young and just have no idea of what life is really like...he tried to talk to a few and explain to them what a wonderful opportunity this is...but they don't listen..they have the "ain't nobody gonna tell me what to do" attitude...TMC...ya just gotta take them seriously...they are a good company...but they don't play around..too much at stake

 

they tell you on day one what the rules are and the way it is going to be and if its not for you you should leave. they told everyone if you are going to pee hot dont take the test because they will put it on your DAC. Yet the idiots that do drugs still took the test and now there trucking career is done! everyone says the oreintations are a waste of time but i think it weeds out the bad apples. Everyone thinks they are a super trucker but they are not. Even the students have swelled heads because they drove the truck in school fine, LOL not even close to the real trucking world.
