First of all its not so much the tickets that are the issue with the hiring companies it'll be the insurance as you'll most probably be aware your insurance goes up the more infringements you pick up the same goes for the mega's who require extensive insurance to cover their big rigs. We were all young once and do get it and i think most of us would be guilty at some point of speeding even in our big rigs like who hasn't let their truck fly down the other side of a steep hill ? getting up to 85 ? come on be honest now, anyway this'll be a topic where you'll either get some empathy or get some harsh judgement and lots and lots of good and bad advice in the end it'll be up to you to choose whats best for you, it may just require you to wait for a few more years say 3 more till your tickets are more than 5 years old.

Thanks for the input. I know i was pretty stupid as a kid. But hey. At least ive learned my lesson. Took a while. But believe me. Walking in the snow to work everyday for 6 months isnt fun at all.

Also to all that replied. Is it 3 or 5 years when tickets fall off of my record. I looked everywhere and cant find that answer anywhere.

It’s state by state. You’ll have to look. Some states they never do.

And depends on the specific charge. DUI is 7 years in some states, 10 in others. If you're looking at interstate positions, assume the worst.

So it turns out. The tickets fall off my record in 10 days. I just completed CDL school thru a actual school. Not a CDL farm even though it was cheaper. Just picked up my CDL yesterday and had an interview. And should be on the road the 10th of November for training! Hope to see you on the road. And thank you for your replies on this.

If they ask... Tell them: Look at the bright side. I'm from Chicago. At least I didn't have to shoot three people before I turned 18.

You may qualify for 36 mo waiting penalty from suspension to get CDL. Check it out before spending money on school.I hope you at least won a few of those races!!! You’re not the only one to learn the hard way. The only way to avoid a ticket is don’t give them the opportunity. You Win ( usually)

Someone will hire you I bet. The megas are usually self insured as far as that goes. Doesn’t mean they’ll hire you. Even a job as local yard dog might work if pays good
