Attached to the cabinet on the passenger side. The 1/4" lag bolts that come with the kit hold just fine I've never had it fall or pull the cabinet out in almost 2 years. My current company requires letting the company mechanics put the mount in. They put an extra bracket on the back side and used nuts to secure it for extra strength claiming it will "rip the cabinet out" if an extra piece (extra weight) of metal is put inside the cabinet.
I use paracord to tie it off to the safety net clip on the passenger side wall to keep it from swinging around and moving (banging off of anything) while driving.
I've seen what I agree are probably better ways of doing it that don't require putting any holes anywhere but it works for me. It's how I was able to and found how, and the stuff to do it with at walmart.
The 2018 only has just enough room between the cabinet and back wall for the 40' tv I have but the 15 and 16 had space for a larger tv. I got a 40" knowning I wouldn't be in a 2016 or older truck for very long. -
Where is this mounted at and the specifications on the items of where I can buy because I'm about to start cross country in an company truck and I need to know ASAP please
