Interesting Wooly, DCJS would never license someone with a felony. No how, No Way. Can you get into Canada or have you tried?

I have never tried to get into Canada. Of course the Felony was Child Support. The case was overturned. I have posted the whole story here somewhere before. Boring..... I was right, the judge was wrong. I told the judge he was wrong, he told me to go to prison. I did 8 months on 4 years. I am out, the Judge is still an idiot.
The good news is that my exwife is fat. -
I move a lot of equipment and live close to the eastern seaboard, I couldnt really live without one. That being said any major company will get one for you after you hire.
Mommas_money_maker Thanks this. -
i haul containers outta the savannah ga. port you will NOT be allowed in without a twic card and a Ga. Port id card period.
aiwiron and Mommas_money_maker Thank this. -
I run a stepdeck and use my TWIC and HAZMAT all the time. TWIC gets you into ports, refineries, and lots of military bases. It also allowed me out on the flightline at Palm Beach Int airport where I hauled some tools and parts for some Navy contactors to fix a Navy jet that was there. Some training companies will pay for it if you work for them and companies like mine (leased to an all O/O company) do not. I also have an enhanced license which gets me into Canada so my opinion is to get them as if you have an employer that does these kinds of things then it will be golden
aiwiron Thanks this. -

When I hauled tankers (acid primarily). Two of the places (out of 5) that I regularly loaded at got their product via barge. Both required TWIC to get loaded. Virtually none of the places I delivered to required a TWIC, but I could not have driven without one.
It is a good thing to have because in some instances it can give you a leg up on getting hired over someone who doesn't have it already.Mommas_money_maker and aiwiron Thank this. -
i was also at the Exxon/Mobil/Sunoco storage tank area literally across the bay from the Port of Providence (as the tanker ships can go easily across the bay to either storage tank facility),and all i was told to do was, the speed limit..>!!! NO TWIC CARD, ON ANY fueling tank area...!!
so what's up with me having what was "supposed to be a needed ID card to gain access, when i was NEVER ASKED to show it"...???? and, I NEVER HAD TO HAVE an escort, i went FREELY IN and FREELY OUT..!!!!
but, when i applied over a year ago to work Port Security..???
they WANTED a TWIC CARD...!!!
the security company said, the US Coast Guard DEMANDS that all leaving/returning to a ship, MUST BE CHECKED for proper ID's...
but a trucker entering, or leaving..?
pffttt......who cares....!!!!
