HAZMAT in Ohio is $89 for the prints.. not sure if it expires or not? The lady just told me I had to retake my test before renewing my license, and that is why I lost it.
As far as warerways, I am very close to Lake Erie, and the Ohio river.. If that changes the opinion of me needing it or not?

If its like mine in Washington state then you have to renew it everytime you renew your license which will mean doing the prints, paying the 89 bucks again and taking the hazmat test each time.
Just get the TWIC, like I said, sheet happens and when it does are you prepared? -
There is only 1 place around here that checks them.. All the other terminals could careless. I understand the point of the program, But why not enforce it?
-
Because it isn't truly a program? Just something to get our money? Like every other thing this government puts out there.

Please do not tell me what a TWIC card is for. I already KNOW THAT..!!
But I see no need for the average driver to have one, UNLESS he/she DOES go to the ports LIKE I DID.!!!
Some warehouses may want you to have one, this is where THE EMPLOYER should inform the employee, upon filling out a job application.
But again, for the AVERAGE JOE DRIVER???? a TWIC card IS NOT NEEDED.!!!
That's right, if they do not have thier grubby little hands into OUR pockets, on a regular basis, they are not happy. We as an industry have always been considered a "cash cow".
