I would still love to try it with someone that has the knowledge. I did notice he floated the aux and double clutched the main. Is there different ways to do that?

My dad and uncle, who were mechanics both told me to use the clutch. Not using wears a groove on the input shaft. Most of the time I do, but sometimes I slip and float. Perhaps he used the clutch for rhythm?
If you can shift smoothly, you should be able to learn to drive one. I would love to drive one again. -
I myself enjoy shifting, I have never had a problem with it. Just seems natural to me.

They say that automatics give the driver the ability to pay more attention to driving. Shifting IS driving! I wouldn't trade it for an auto even in the worst traffic on the Dan Ryan!

I don't have any.problems shifting so I guess if I get the opportunity to learn one I'll take it that's for sureOLDSKOOLERnWV Thanks this.

Anyone know if you can order a aux trans maybe a 5x4 in a new truck...?
I will ask next time I'm @ the dealership .OLDSKOOLERnWV Thanks this. -
They are so obsolete it would seem you wouldn't be able to however I'm curiousOLDSKOOLERnWV Thanks this.

The '95 W9 that I tried to buy was one of the last factory 2 sticks made. Supposedly Spicer still makes the brownie, and you can get a 7 speed that will take big torque. I'd love to see it!OLDSKOOLERnWV Thanks this.

LOL... I bet that question at a dealership would get you a big deer in the headlight look!

Not with me.... They are used to me thinking out side of the box...
Oxbow and OLDSKOOLERnWV Thank this.
