It did not fly off a truck!

The board was lying on the road, in her left lane, on the left side and the pickup pulling the white utility trailer in front of her kicked it up.

Would not have happened if she was not following to close, make her pay for her own damages and hope she learned a valuable lesson. I also find it odd that she JUST HAPPENED to have a video camera out and going while she was driving. So 2 things right off the bat, she was concentrating on making a video, not driving, and she was following to close. There was no amazing scenery there to film, why was she filming? 2 vehicles playing cat and mouse is no reason to film, she isn't a cop, and if she presented that information to a cop, they would laugh at her.

They say she intended to send the footage to the companies that own the trucks? Um, that is not a semi with a van trailer in front of you, it is a pickup, with a small utility trailer, probably not even a business, but if it is, the person who own's that small business, will likely be driving the vehicle themselves.

Thats pretty much what I saw as well. Had to back it up and look again to be sure. The only thing that I could see that the truck did wrong was speed up a bit, so that the vehicle hauling the trailer could not get over. But I didn't see any blinkers either.

This is one of the reasons that I don't follow closely. You just never know.

It always pays to hang back there. People walk by me in the left lane doing 75MPH all day long and with 5 feet of bumper space between each other. I just hang out in the right lane, doing 60MPH, getting my fuel mileage, and knowing I have reaction time if needed.
