Thiers so many ways for you to be tracked now, it's not worth it. Want to make more, find a company that isn't screwing you over. Stick up for yourself, and your worth, don't just sit back and take it. Running illegal will hurt you a lot more than help you.

You brought up a good question from me....speaking of the audit....say the IRS does do an audit on you....you have to keep at least the past 7 years worth of logs to show you were out for x number of days....if you DID run 2 logs they both wouldn't match up, right? And, would IRS have to report it to DOT? I know I've been on elogs for about 4 years now....I like it....it's all time management....but with my trainer, when I first started was on paper he did show me how to cheat....I never got it until my last day on his truck......next day I was on elogs

I'm not trying to stay up for days on end here. My 14 ran out at midnight last night, and I had 2 hours left to go to get to the delivery. I've been to this delivery spot before. They don't allow trucks in town before 0700, and you have to be gone by 1700. They usually take 3-4 hours to live unload/reload.

So, I felt fine to drive last night. I couldn't use a split sleeper. The place I'm going to I know I'm getting nap time.

I guess that's the answer is to pull over and back up the log so I have clean hours on the clock.

    Thank you, everyone.

Yes, to prove you qualified for the per diem deduction, logs are a great way to show you weren't home.
And if the IRS disallowed that deduction. Imagine the penalty.

If you ever figure it out i hope you get caught and pay the stiffest fine possible.we don't need your kind on our roads making it bad for the industry and the law biding truck drivers along with more laws.it just takes one person for Fmcsa making it harder on the industry.

Really? Because it sounds like you know the rules, if you are asking how to break them...

enjoy paperlogs all you want now because before long Youll be on elogs.you don't know how to keep you're logs straight illegally,in time they re not going to match and you're going to have a lot of explaining to do with the good ole DOT.you only had two hrs left on your 14.ok fine so why couldn't you pick up that load in the morning?learn to manage your time and you won't have any problems.
