Hey, so I got a KW W9L coming in around this time next year. I went for a single tone metallic paint and only went single tone because I’m not sure of the quality of having stripes or two tone done from factory. Have any of you here ordered two tone/ stripes on a truck from KW within the last 2-3 years? How was the quality? Could you feel the edges of secondary paint/stripes when you rubbed your fingers across it? Appreciate the help! I guess I should note that my primary is going to be a dark metallic grey, and I might do metallic black stripes if I do decide to go that route.

That ride is going to be sharp. That color it will look nice even a little dirty. I didn’t order my rig. Just bought one off the lot. But if I did I would go factory stripes. It’s so hard to find any one that has time to work. I’m still looking for someone to clear and develop my property, put my company logo on my trailer, or about anything else these days. If you go factory you won’t have to wait in line to get it done, but will have to pay F.E.T.

Paint the lines yourself,,only you will know if the edge is smooth. Will take very light application for your choice of color.

That's quite a ways from SW TN...lolVampire and Pamela1990 Thank this. -
The main color and stripes are painted and then clear coated afterwards. If you do anything after the fact, it will be less smooth than what comes from the factory.
Good luck and may you have nothing but safe miles with your W9.Pamela1990, GYPSY65 and OhNoTerry Thank this. -
Another thought.. if you paint after delivery and you are not satisfied. Good luck having paint job correct and have paint job look progressively worse. I’d go factory.
