Back in the day, Eagle went through some pay issues, and everybody was looking.
Management kept blowing smoke about the adjustment being coming next week next month, blah blah blah.
So, i applied at a few competitors.
Those calls haven’t stopped, ironically.

Another alternative option:
First -- take the the job with Swift (if in fact you can get it). Drive for them for at least a year and a half; 2 years is better.
Then switch over to tankers.
If you do the above -- when you later land that tanker job, you will then APPRECIATE IT A LOT MORE.

I worked for Tidewater in Wilmington but it was a long time ago. Did 2 runs to Fayetteville a night, off every day. Good company. When we moved to Houston for my wife’s job, the terminal manager in Wilmington called the TM in Houston, and I just transferred over. Unless things have changed, the Old Dominion terminal in Wilmington is very small. I believe Southeastern has a place there.
