Looking for up to date info on Type 2 Diabetes. I have been overseas for 14 years and have just dealt with Korean doctors so my records are all in Korean :(
My last A1c was 5.2 which is great and I took Metformin for a while.
I have lost over 30 lbs this year and stopped taking Metformin and with the low carb diet my sugars are in control.
Should I tell them during the Physical that I was on Metformin for Diabetes before ?

Can I get a 2 year DOT card ? Are their other steps I need to take ?

    Thanks

No, don't mention anything about diabetes. You don't have diabetes now anyway.
The DOT doctor won't ask to see you medical records anyway.
It's easy to talk your way out of passing the DOT physical. Drivers do it every day, then post on here about how they talked to much and now can't get a medical card.

The correct answer to all the questions on the form that asks " Have you ever...….." is "NO".

Just beware it will be very very easy to slip right back into diabetes on the road. Eating healthy is a whole other level of suffering when youre already behind schedule on the work part of the day. Youre either gonne eat junk or be hungry at timesb unless youre very disciplined and prepared.

    Goodluck.

If you are running around loose without supervision on diabetes you aint got it.

    SHUT UP about it.

Go get the DOT physical. Don't blab, volunteer anything etc. Be very careful.

That food would be even worse on the road retail believe it or not since truckstops mainly removed cooked to order.
