Lets see, if my math is correct here's what you are looking at....

If you start fresh once loaded, 30 hours of driving will require.....

11D+10S+11D+10S+8D=50 total hours plus 45 minutes for pretrips plus minimally 3 fuel stops of 15 minutes each is another 45 minutes. Throw in a couple pee breaks, a few meals and you are looking at the least a total of 54 hours once you leave. Oh, traffic in and around Jersey, add another hour so you are up to 55 hours once loaded and rolling. Send these numbers to your dispatcher ASAP so he can make other arrangements when you tell him to reschedule the delivery appointment.

I drove OTR for a reefer company.Picked up load after waiting hrs for it.Then delivers to tyson in Liberal,ks,waiting hrs to get unloaded.Did that route once a week and hated it.Then another cust in Ohio, midnight appts but don't get assigned a door till a couple hrs latewr and another couple hrs you're unloaded. The joys of reefer.

Million dollar idea.... How bout an app that calculates all that for you?! Wouldn't that be cool! Just type in your where you are picking up and where it delivers. Enter the delivery time and your hours available and then it calculates it all out including fuel stops, showers, traffic etc...

Go ahead, somebody tell me they already have it!

I'm actually looking for an Android developer that can put something like that together so I can market it. I want it linked to an HOS log so that it can calculate the trip against the driver's remaining 70.
