Wats takes students and will start him at the bottom rung for loads. Got a couple of buddies over there, one doing a lease and loves it, the other a company driver that's doing tier 3 loads making about 1600 a week but he seldom Goes home.

I work for a small company with our flatbed division based in Sioux Falls, SD called Britton Transport. I will make around 65k this year. I wouldn't do 750 a week for long I don't think. I used to work for TMC. I was there almost 17 years, until Feb 2011. Obviously, there were a lot of things I liked about TMC. And I do still miss them at times. But as far as money, this company beats them hands down.

If I were to run full time on the highway, assuming no stupid delays or weather problems, average 500 miles a day (this is including time for loading/unloading and tarping/untarping) and be out 5 days a week (our company average), I would bring home $1695 CAD bi-weekly (net).
That said, a lot of the time, our drivers are averaging 5500-6000 miles every two weeks, and doing more than just a single unload and reload. A $1000 CAD (net) week is not unheard of.
I'd say if you have two years experience and are making less than $700-750 CAD a week, you are getting hosed. A good driver working a full week in (general) flat deck should not be making less than $20 CAD per hour (gross pay divided by hours worked).Giddy-Up-Go Thanks this. -
My point exactly if I'm staying out 3 to 5 weeks at a time then run me but don't let me stay out and only netting 7 to 8 a week that's why I was asking what's the average pay for flatbed

I can secure and tarp with a driver that's been driving longer than I have I just don't think I'm getting the miles a "USA" division driver should be getting

thats a noble emblem you got my brother

I drove for Maverick for 2 years as a rookie, unless you transfer to their HH or Boat division, 800 to the occasional $1100 is what you're gonna see.....(although that's what I was making as a regional driver with them)....USA division, never seemed to get much more miles than regional guys....
After 1 year, you have options, take your time, learn as much as possible (Maverick is a GREAT learning company) and go forth!!!!....
Keep in mind, in trucking, generally, the bigger the company, the less they pay.....Giddy-Up-Go Thanks this.
