The latest story I get from everyone is that they are more than 30 days old and the load is closed. No more adjustments can be made.
If they would ever get me through Chattanooga during business hour, I would park at the Corp office and have a long talk with them. But they keep me away from TN. as much as possible, since that is my home state of record.

Concerning the last scale ticket and advance issue, I just found out yesterday that my FM is off this week. I found this out after waiting 45 min on the phone to talk to him and inquire about their latest "charge driver for out of route miles policy". The FM covering did not want to talk about it and told me to call back Monday when my FM returns.

This brings up another issue. They change your FM and no one tells you. You find out after you call and talk to the last one, if that FM still works for USX. Then you get transferred to the new one and hold another 30 min or so or until you are cut off.

Communication and concern for the driver is sorely lacking at USX.

I did not have these issues in 6 years atJB Hunt.

Let me say this first...I don't know why you have an accident(could be a nonpreventable in a trk stp) 2 speeding tickets(that is your fault most likely, so knowing when to go and when to slow may not apply here) and 2 lane violations in 7 years?? Well, just a piece of friendly advice..take it for whatever its worth, when your dealing with truckers in a national forum such as this, it would be wise not to state things as you did since if that is better than how you drive your car, I for one, would not want my family next to you on the road, and with a record like that, for a fact, I know there are many companies that would not even touch you. There are many drivers here that would be embarrassed to have a record such as that. When you hit 2.5 to 3 million miles with "NO" tickets or accidents, then you can proudly say you are a professional driver. I'm speaking from that very experience and record. Truckers are a very critical and speakful group.

Ok so you are reading challenged. Have been driving 21 years so the statement " since I have been driving" would not apply to 7 years. Since that was the last time I got a ticke,t not as you state, 2 lane violations in 7 years.
And I'm not shocked that you think 4 tickets in 21 years of driving will keep me from driving a truck at most company's and that any driver would be embarrassed with my driving record yada yada. Because sir, YOU CAN"T FREAKING READ. :biggrin_25525:
Next time before you want to pop tall make sure you can actually read and comprehend before you choose to comment
P.S. Maybe highlighting will help you 3 million miler.:biggrin_25526:
Really ? This was not in your blog on what a professional driver is. So Just about everyone driving a truck today are just rank amateurs at the feet of your holiness. Kind of full of yourself trying to make up for short comings in your britches, are you. Look it up in Websters driver. you are a professional driver when you cash your first check. Complete fail, Next :biggrin_25525:

Don"t worry about it, that guy can't freaking read.:biggrin_2559: Not to mention the fact that he thinks a professional driver has to have 3m under his belt and wear a name tag on his shirt.

I would like to thank you fellow truckers for the info. This is a very good site. It is helping me make my choices for who to work for.

Sounds like a very tough company that probably hires and fires alot of employees.

This is actually a very good company for it's size. There are always disgruntled employees at any company this large and unhappy people are much more likely to talk than happy people. With very few exceptions the drivers at USX are happy. I have been treated with warmth and respect by almost every person I have had the need to interact with in this company.

    marquardt72 Thanks this.

Agreed! I no longer work there because of forced dispatch to the "New England Vortex." But only once was I truly mistreated by a weekend fleet manager, but the company dealt with it. Even though I no longer work there, I still recommend US Xpress for new drivers just coming into this career.
