when i went thru orientation at tunnel hill, ga also. and yes you are right they are nice. but you are not hired until the last day after a recruiter has said you have been approved. i watched a guy i went thru orientation with get sent home on the third day due to something they found on him from 25 years ago!! 25 years? really? c'mon people that is a joke! and all florida company drivers were told to become team, lease operators, or lose their jobs? what in the hell kind of excuse is there for that? good luck to those who make it! but keep your golden knee pads handy, you'll need them to get ahead with usx.

Getting home is always a fight, I am hoping to get home right now, it would be the 3rd time in 5 months.
Miles per week cannot really say since i just started solo 4 weeks ago, and truck was in shop, they bussed me around the nation to get another truck, also was stuck in 3 snowstorms because highways were closed; so it is all too new but i do get hauls 1400 miles or more, and have 3 days time to deliver, thereafter i get another long haul or 2 smaller ones. -
Ok thx alot for the info.

What kind of drug screening do they give?
-
Why, do you have something to worry about?
-
Gawd! I can't believe this twit is asking about drug testing!!
I can think of but one reason why they'd be worried about that.....Jeez! just when you think you've read every nitwit post on here.........
-
I can understand it; after all, you can "study" for a urine test. If they ask if you've ever used drugs, you can take Nancy Reagan's advice and "just say no". If they do a hair test, they're testing you for up to several years of history, for every substance that you might have taken, prescription or not, as well as putting together a genetic profile on you. Perfectly acceptable thing to do if they're buying a slave, I guess, and they treat company drivers like slaves, so maybe they feel justified, but that's too much intrusion for me. There is no way that I would submit to a hair test, and I don't use illegal drugs. There is no way that I would be a company driver, either, never have been and never will be, but that's another story.

Sounds like USX doesn't work for everyone, so i'm guessing every company must be like this??
