U.S. Express Orientation be prepared

I've been with usx for about a month the only problem I have with them is waiting on the phone for 4 hours on the weekend because my satcom is broke wich works well for me. But other then that everything is great my dispatcher rocks and always keeps me moving that's during the week. But if I empty on Friday night is extreamly hard to get ahold of anyone for a load.

 

i worked for u.s xpress i 08-09, orientation was boring, just make sure you have everything in order and can pass a drug test and physical. Like all companys there are bumps but over all i enjoyed working here, pay is ok i ran 500mi loads 1200 and up mile loads. paychecks were between 700 and 1,100. My recent job went out of business so i'm going back the first week of feb. Auto shift are kinda cool even though i prefer manual, but to me shifting is like riding a bike, once you learn you know how to do it..

 

No, the lease trks are set at 70. Being a driver for them why would you want to make there trk payments for a year as well as pay for the maint. and have nothing to show for it???

 

You're going to find that times have changed, most solo drvrs out west are lucky if there getting 12- 1500mi a wk.

 

Complaining will get things changed, other drivers will see it and back off from the company. (But i'm sure that USX already knows that there company stinks and treats there drivers like dirt.)

 

Germangirl, I'd like to see you update your statement I believe I know you and if your the one I know that you can nolonger say that about the miles! The last time I talked to you you only had 120 mi nfor the week!!!!

 

First, why do you sound angry? Sorry I don't remember you, and your statement about my miles is wrong. I was stuck in Atlanta blizzard for days, then waited for the truck to get out the shop last week, that's why I was sitting... it wasn't fun. I can not complain about the miles... the problems are lying elsewhere.

 

Does anyone know about the USXpress dediicated dollar tree account?

That was not my experience, people were nice had a slight hickup with a ##### supervisior out of texas, other supervisiors quickly fixed issue and reassigned me to another fleet. I left U.S. Expreess about a week ago, due to personal reasons but overall they were good to me.
