U.S. Xpress CDL Training - Do they make you sign a contract?

I’m sorry I disagree with your statement. This company has lied isnot organized and has manipulated new drivers stating things that they would offer and then once u get to the school you find out everything they told you is a LIE!!! EVERYTHING. The pay, whether u want dedicated,solo or team automatically you’re going team and I basically lost my marriage to this because I was told I could get a dedicated route and now because of an agility test I have to go otr. So I disagree where does the lies end

 

yes you go team for 2 months then you can go solo, they would have told you that IF YOU ASKED.

you didn't lose your marriage because of this IF YOU HAD A GOOD MARRIAGE to start with

HOW did they lie if you COULDN'T pass the agility test needed to be on the account....?

 

I’m a new truck driver just starting into this career. Yes they lied other companies don’t require a agility test.! And yes this put a strain on my marriage. I was told I could have a dedicated route period. No agility test was ever mentioned. This is a form and maybe you work for them or maybe not but I’m stuck in a 12/14 month contract and so many of us at that school tried to go with another company once we realized we had been lied to. I can speak my mind and help someone else not go through what I and others went through so therefore I will get on every forum I can and speak the truth. Now I’m sitting home waiting on a trainer and my friend has been home almost two months waiting let’s see how this goes

 

The real question is why would you think a company would train you for free and then let you work for someone else?
Are you under 30 y/o?

I know this is an old thread, but does US Xpress actually offer CDL school? I talked to a recruiter a while back that said no, but I've read multiple threads like this from people who said they got their CDL through US Xpress. Does anyone know for sure?

 

yes they do

they use and pay for it thru a outside school
