In regards to a responsse I received, I am new to blogs and to me I am putting out there everywhere I can a warning on my experience. AND it is RECENT. So it does not matter if someone elses experience happened ten years ago and yes I can document my experience!!!!

Yes at orientation I witnesseed many people getting free rides home. I am referring to being out OTR. If you have a dispute and no longer wish to work for the company you are told you have to be ROUTED home, you can not just drive your truck to the terminal. You are given forced labor until you are routed back, at their pay rate.

So if they want to pay you twenty four cents a mile to across country , recieve no layover pay, knock yourself out. If you are a recruiter responding, I don't care to hear what anyone has to say, because if a recruiters lips are moving, they are lying.Until a recruiter forgets the dollar they make and live the experience of an actual driver they have nothing to say to me.

    Polymath and SouthTexasTrucks Thank this.

Heres a new development..... After the recruiter said I couldnt work for them after two months of saying I can a supervisor has called my home everyday at least twice sometimes 3 or 4 times.... I of course have not been home due to working nights and school during day... If I cant work for them why the hell do they keep calling?

so check this out. After all these voice mails and calls to my house I called the supervisor back.. She had NO IDEA who I was or why I was calling. So I was like you left all these voice mails and you have no idea wtf I am talking about.... Needless to say I told her DO NOT call my house again

The only thing I can say about US Distress is that they are a good ENTRY level trucking company. After you get some experience, GET OUT.......Good equipment, as long as you don't break down, then you sit for days while they fix your truck. I was left on the side of the road in TN for almost 11 hours while dispatch tries to get me to fix the problem. It turned out to be a burnt fuse in in the transmission. To sum it up, good entry level company, get out and get a real job.....

    See this right here?

"when you quit you can do 1 of 2 things park the truck someware and just leave it (you'll never work in trucking again)"

This is why a crappy company's like USX shouldn't be able to enter anything on DAC and be believed.

I wonder how many prospective drivers are run out of the business because of jerks like USX

You can reply with all the lies you want I know have known and seen the way the Fuller family operates for years. AND YES I LEFT ONE OF THOSE STUPID KWs with red stripes on it out in AZ. That was 24 1/2 years ago. So don't give us this....you must be a slave until we say so crapp ! "(you'll never work in trucking again)" BULL !!!

"when you quit you can do 1 of 2 things park the truck someware and just leave it (you'll never work in trucking again)"
WHAT A LAUGH, there are a lot of people in the industry like me that are wise to you peoples trashing of drivers.

Oh one more thing drivers, you should see the obscene display of greed and wealth these people live in that they call homes. Wile drivers are stuck out on the road starving.

I'd taken off a few years and got bored. So I decided to try them out. It wasn't a money thing, I program/web development on the side. I figured I won't get run very hard.. I was more bored working then not working. This was 01/12.. Orientation was in dallas and absolutely the most disorganized I'd ever seen. They want you to sign tax credit paperwork to get cuts for hiring you. The per diem pay is scalped, putting your money in their pockets then try to make you seem stupid for not taking the great deal.... What really burnt me was the digital signatures. They placed or 'forged' my signature as well as everyone else on documents and agreements we were unaware of and flat refused to give you copies of them.. Can you believe that ?
Seriously, if you decide anyway to try them out, Just try and get copies of those documents, which you are untitled..

To this day I have no idea what else they used my sig for. Seems illegal to me, forged digital signatures on documents, transmission of those documents through intrastate lines and mail fraud. There is more than enough ex/current employees for class action I would think.. They are just a very sneaky outfit to work for.

Their freight seem to be mostly backhaul/Ch Rob stuff. Which surprised me, these guys have been around a while, I thought they would have more dedicated accounts. 250/300mi per day for a solo driver was pretty standard.. a lot of re-powers, you know after the miles were siphoned of. It is not for a solo driver, even if your just a 1yr.

Another problem I had was new hires were sent home for documentation, releases, paperwork and utter BS that would have been completely unnecessary had they done their job in the application process in the first place..

They really just push as many people as possible through the doors. Personally there is something about this hiring tax credit forms they make you sign, I don't know specifics I never got the paperwork or was able to read the document.

They have a policy as well, you can not discuss any part or operation of the company without permission from their PR Department. I'm sure My Sig was forged on some document relating to that as well.. So USX I started in 1/12 my initals DBP. Please attempt to sue me over it...

Most team drivers I talk to said they were doing ok. It just reminded me of a company that was on the verge of bankruptcy or something. Very weird and shaky outfit. Move them in, sign the forms, kick them out make room for the new blood..

Very strange, I would stay away from this outfit, or at least be prepared to leave when you get there and start asking questions in class..

I was employed about 90days, if you can call it that... Good Luck..
