I got a ride in Ontario CA. Total cost was $12 and I asked him how it all worked. The driver showed me his emailed settlement and he only got $6 and uber took basically 50% of the fare.

Only thing I would ask is where is appendix A & B? How do they handle detention, I couldn't find anything in the contract about that. It also says Uber has 30 days to pay.

Btw, how'd you find that @wichris

So Uber keeps 15% of the load. What are freight brokers charging now percentage wise? ( a decent broker that is )o_O

They called and sent it over. When I said I wanted detention/layover spelled out and the claim bs changed they went away. At least they went for the license unlike the ride program.

Amazing how they want to stack the deck in their favor. That claim section is bs.

Those bidding wars are terrible for an already tight business/ profit margin

I am curious to see what happens here. I was already completely set up with uber...I had just never run a passenger because flatbed'n is keeping me busy enough.

So I just responded to their link for carriers to sign in. We shall see. I can't imagine them breaking in to this age old industry but then again they spanked the age old cab companies pretty well!

I figure the more we make the more they make so just stick to your formula and add 5% and see what happens.

Hmmm what's up with the statement on Uber Freight app "Have a CDL and want to sign-up" does that mean they are also going to be operating as a carrier?
