why would they even do this? It's much better to stick a stright pin into the coax and wait until the next time he keys the mike and BOOM! His radio and amp are toast, lol.
UH OH! They DO..........!

It's actually easier to turn the volume down on your own radio for few minutes until the idiots fade out.
But of course that's gonna require that you lose the high school kid mentality. -
Hey I might buy the pin .....
-
This was done to a black guy in a 379 Pet many years ago in Eloy AZ at the Petro T Stop. He was keying up on everyone and would not let people let any information,he even dared people to come to his truck and stop him, he was proud of his Galaxy 99 and sweat 16 and told us all about it. He made the mistake of going inside to eat and some guy slipped a straight pin in his coax,i watched him do it. He came back out,got in his truck and keyed up once. You should have seen the smoke come rolling out of the cab.
He was pissed to say the least and i nearly wet myself laughing at him! -
In regards to enforcement, I just spoke to the FCC's Special Counsel for Amateur Enforcement who advised me that Terminal Trucking Company is now about to be investigated (warned) about one of their drivers operating on 28 MHZ. Seems there was a ham driving on I-20 West near Aiken, SC when a driver for Terminal began to try to contact him on AM mode on 10 Meters. The ham didn't answer him, but it seems he began to write down the trucker's info at which the trucker began to ridicule him because he wouldn't answer him! (He's about to get his "answer"!!!!

I don't know when or IF this one will be published soon, but if it is, I will bring you the source/site.
I know this makes some of us mad, but the truth is the truth! The law is clear. CB operators have 40 channels at 4 watts power with which to carry on business (or foolishness). They are required to use non-molested, non-modified, FCC-approved radios to do it. Other services have THEIR requirements, and THEIR privileges as well according to the rules of their service. There are NO "extra" channels, there are NO additional privileges accorded to CB operators, and no "freeband" that is permitted to CB operators. Some of us realize this, and have made the effort to obtain the amateur license that give us those additional privileges and "channels" (as CBers call it). Hams, too, must operate within the regulations that govern that service. Amateur radio has a lot of leeway, but it can't be used as a "substitute" for CB for finding stops or conducting business. It can, however, provide more than enough of the hobby communications and pleasure the CBers also seek. It's equipment also FAR outstrips that of any CB radio in options, modes, and operator features as well!
Likewise, it makes the hams mad to find some unlicensed person yappin' away on frequencies they have no right to. So they may go out while traveling and listen to truckers, in particular, who go up into 10 Meters because they think it is an "extra" channel the regular CBers don't have, because they get a thrill out of being an outlaw thinking they can't get caught, or because they are truly ignorant about radio and don't know that "them channels" aren't part of CB. This is probably what happened over the holidays (I'm guessing): a ham was traveling to gram'ma's house and happened to be listening when a trucker showed up on his frequency and started talking. WHAM! GOTCHA!
This is presented respectfully, and hopefully, it's food for thought to make you THINK about "them extra channels" before you start talking outside the CB band.
GF -
I was wondering if you were still around CW.
-
Gadfly welcome back .....
I have said many times if you stay off the HAM bands ( like 28.000 and up ) few care what you do ...... -
What's a CW? Except for Morse. And besides, what does it matter? The truth is the truth whether it is welcomed or not! They still don't have any business on 10 Meters.
GF -
They just don't get it outside of the 40 CB ch someone ELSE owns them ... ABOVE 28.000 it's the HAMS ..... BELOW 28.000 it's not our problem .....
-
Now hold on,i get on 10 meter anytime the DX is strong.......just to listen. Don't tell me there is a law against being a wanna be ham op!
Whats CW Morse? Thats your other screen name or dont you use that on the WWRF anymore.
