no it will not.....you have been told this already.

if it were me, i'd get it repaired ASAP, so that i'd have a trouble free future. the healing time will be quicker.

in fact, back in the late 1970's, i had a bilateral hernia, (that's 2, one on EACH SIDE) that i got repaired, went back to work..about 6 weeks later...(back then, they sewed up inside as well as of course the outside, as no screen was even invented back then) best decision i ever made.

Just don't apply at Maverick (flatbed) and you should be fine.

I played high school football. In 1973 just before the 72-73 school year ended all the football players 9th grad through to the varsity had to get a brief exam. The nurse that was doing them discovered a hernia and made me wait to be looked at by the doctor. The doctor would not sign me off to play until I got surgery. My parents could have signed a waiver that would have allowed me to play, but my parents made an appointment and in the early summer of 73 and I had surgery. I missed summer camp and 2 games in the 73 -74 school year, but I got it fixed.

that's the best thing to do, get it fixed. why wait till you're in excruciating pain, or the blood flow is cut off..and MAKES EMERGENCY surgery be taken NOW...????

surgeries these days are more precise, and healing times will be down to nothing.

then living life free of any future problems.

An umbilical hernia is a result of weakness in the muscles in or around your belly button. It causes the belly button to pop outwards and can happen at any age. Umbilical hernias are most common in women during and after pregnancy, and in people who are overweight.

and a mesh screen is used, much like i would have had years ago on my bilateral hernia, if it were to have been available back then...

would have been a much shorter recovery time for me as well.

My hernia was an inguinal hernia. I did understand the difference. However these 2 hernias are caused by a weakness. Advice to take care of yourself regardless of the type is sound. Don't matter if you have surgery or not. Just take care and see a doc from time to time.

Nope. Ive had one since age one that surgery fixed. Scar tissue takes the rest else where. If I was going to get one unloading that crap most of my trucking years it would have happened then. It may still be a possibility, but they would have found it in the last surgery I had a couple months ago.

When I read the thread title (without my reading glasses) I thought it read, UNBIBLICAL HERNIA.
