In the society that we live in, only 2 out of the 10 are illegal...
Simplified intentionally...
1. Don't kill anyone.
2. Don't steal each other's s^&*.

Jason, you are my man........wanna hang out????
All kidding aside, I am glad I am not the only hussy thinking the way I do, and thank you for standing up for what you believe in.
I am so glad that we are still entitled to say our opinion, and religious freedom is still here, no matter how hard some try to cram their religion down my throat.
So now my heart is hardened because I don't have the same belief as you. Yep, me the heartless beoch, whose husband died, who didn't quit crying and almost died of a broken heart. Yep that would be me.
Please don't compare my mother teaching me right from wrong to a random stranger trying to cram their religious belief down my throat.
I am not hardened against good and decent, however, I don't tell people what they should believe in, what god to pray to, and what church to attend.
Walk a mile in the widow shoes I am wearing and you are entitled to an opinion about me then. My husband and I led a good life, oh wait, that would be a catholic life, so I guess worshipping saints would put us right up there with the other non christian religions.
You cannot even fathom, how horrible it is to lose your spouse at my age, or any, the loneliness eats you alive. I understand wanting to just cuddle with someone, or maybe more, just to be touched, to ease the pain.
I guess you have been made judge and executioner of me. I didn't realize God gave those powers out.
Proverbs 16:18
* "Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall."
This is the root cause of many other sins. The Godly virtue which this transgression wars against is Christian humility and a contrite spirit (Matthew. 5:5, Proverbs 16:19), where man has a spiritual aversion to being subject to God or His laws. It is a hindrance to the Christian's recognition of the Sovereignty and Grace of God. To combat this sin, we should strive to see ourselves as the sinners that we really are, and not to compare ourselves to others, that we might appear to ourselves better or more righteous.
You all have a great one, have fun discussing this and trying to make me feel bad again.Last edited: Sep 10, 2009

R-n-R.......welcome to the dark side.
I am probably the least religious person you will ever meet, but when my character gets attacked because of what I believe in, or don't believe in, it just gets me going.
Have a great night. -
I "attacked" the sin of adultry. It is regretful you think your character is so intertwined with that.
Back to my original post I quote in part:
"This being said you will read such vile veminance against what I have written that it will shock you (and it should). As a last statement I am a Christian and admit I am not sin free. I won't be untill I am called home to Christ and am not in this "World" anymore. God doesn't require you to be sin free to enter Heaven. The requirement is that you confess your sins and believe that Christ paid for your sins on the cross. Forgiveness and salvation is simple and that is what people find hard to believe."
There has been some picking and choosing and "creative interpretation" of what I have written.
God bless and my prayers are with you and for you.

there's NOTHING wrong with "gettin' down with the get down". for the people who get down and dirty, HELLZ YEAH! the beer is on me!
-
my character was not up for discussion, and it is most certainly not intertwined with the sin of adultery.
I am tired of fighting, since it is apparent that unless I subscribe to the exact same beliefs I am not worthy.
So, you all have a good night, a good life, as I am planning to do the same. -
I agree that two consenting adults on the road should decided for themselves. What happens on the road stays on the road. It does not make one a lot lizard.
A few of my best male friends out here on the road started out as a "one night stands".
When ever our roads cross there might be just a conversation over supper or a bit of time in the sleeper all depending on time, schedule and sleep (which believe it or not can be more important than sex). When I am having a rough day I know that I can count on these friends to see me through and give me advice. There are very long days and nights out here. Many of us are single. We do not have family or home contacts. Our road friends are our family. We share much of our lives with each other trying to piece together some what of a life out here.
This thread did not start out as a religious thread but just a simple inquire as to road friendships with benefits. Unfortunately, the religious right seems to think that everything sexual is a sin and must "share" their insights that some of us would rather not have dumped on us especially on a web site designed to discuss trucking.

Oh and by the way what Sabine wrote about "You cannot even fathom, how horrible it is to lose your spouse at my age, or any, the loneliness eats you alive. I understand wanting to just cuddle with someone, or maybe more, just to be touched, to ease the pain" is the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help me God.
I was widowed 5 years ago TOMORROW Sept 12th at the age of 49. He too was a trucker. Met him at the TS where I worked while going to college. The loneliness after loosing your spouse makes you want to die too. After the funeral, when everyone else goes back to there daily lives, there are no more hugs or touch by another human. Add that into the lonely existance of the long haul trucker (man or woman) and you wonder why there are hookups on the road.
As I said I treasure every one of my road friends both with benefits and without benefits. It is because of them I reached the 5 year mark without going insane or driving my truck into a concrete piller.
Oh and Lynnie Gregory, You don't sound like you know anything about life on the road or even trucking. I sure hope that you someday experience two things... 1) the loneliness that comes from not having human contact and 2) a real honest true to life body shaking ORGASM during sex (they too can bring you to a religious experience!)
