I've been parking near my house for nearly 6 months now and all of the sudden I get this. I parked it on Friday morning and left Tuesday morning. The officer was cool and left me leave it there till I had to leave.TTT wants 10$ a day to drop a trailer, and they fenced off that dirt lot by the Ihop. Should I roll the dice and park for less time next time?

Just pay to park it at the truck stop. $10 a day is cheap for peace of mind.Starboyjim, Toomanybikes and Lepton1 Thank this.

It looks like you live in the dessert, couldn't you buy a lot to park it on for a couple hundred bucks?
If not, I'd pay the 10 dollars a day, a tow bill could be 1,000 or morepattyj and Starboyjim Thank this. -
Where are you parking it? On the side of the road?
-
I would say pay to park. It truly does suck, but it is a necessary evil. The truck stop where we used to live did charge 10 a day, but there was a discount for locals. I'd ask the manager, I'm sure he'd give you a break

Pay. Just pay.

There will be a bigger charge for whining later.
Starboyjim Thanks this. -
Someone complained, so not a good idea to keep parking there.

Sometimes they are just ticket happy... I was ticketed parking a bobtail in my driveway(driveway was steep so I can imagine people complaining), and the officer said I had to park on the street. Next weekend code enforcement ticketed me again for parking on a residential street, and I was told to park in the industrial area 2 blocks away. Weekend after that, my bobtail was ticketed for parking while parked in the industrial area :-/

Ticketed in your own driveway? I'd be fighting that one...and if I caught an officer trespassing on my property, I might be more than a little confrontational about what he's doing there. Then again, I don't (and wouldn't) live anywhere that restricts "commercial" vehicles from parking in residential areas. It's my driveway, and I'll park whatever the hell I want to in it.Dark_Majesty_06 Thanks this.
