Unbelievable 1 Million Pound Load!!!

This load is 2.8 million

 

They probably have a service truck follow close by and a tire truck near by also...
Thats a serious rate per mile I bet. I will bet it a flat rate for that job and calculated by the day.
10 people, a bunch of trucks, fuel, insurance etc....I bet its close to 5k a day for something like that to move.

YouTube search Fort McMurray oversize loads. We get big stuff like that rolling through weekly.

 

I'm interested in moving into the really big stuff any info would be great. I drive a 8 axle maxi truck now haul utility polls up to 85 ft I don't see a lot of companies that do the super big loads

 

It was humor. That load only goes about 50miles a day if everything goes right.
You could always go to the oilfields, but not many rigs moving right now.

 

Some of the ones around here are Premay, Mammoet, Entrec, Sarens, and Trans Tech. I'm not sure if Mullen does heavy haul or if they leave the big stuff for Premay (Premay is owned by Mullen Group now)

 

We had a coker cell pass through town about 5 or 6 years ago now and it needed 7 trucks to move it. The pay alone for just the 7 drivers is probably close to $3500 per day since last I heard Mammoet's top drivers were around $40/hr here. I bet Imperial oil was getting billed around $25k-$30k a day for that load.

 

I work in the oilfields in Cali when there's work I prefer operating equipment over driving but I like trucking as well so I tend to jump back and forth every couple years.
