The company I now work for had a roll over accident yesterday. The driver is ok. I had to go to the sight with an empty trailer to transload the freight. It was a load of small steel parts. I took it the last 45 miles and delivered it. After they unloaded it, the dock supervisor asked where the bills are. I told him they were still in the rolled over truck. He looked at me with a straight face and said these exact words; "Oh, they could get the driver out, but couldn't get my bills out"? He was dead serious.
I told him I didn't think the fire department even looked for them, and walked away.
PS... This load runs everyday. BOL copies had been faxed to them earlier I found out later.
Unbelievable statement from receiver

A few years back, my mom, dad and brother were on a trip that had them switching planes in Chicago. They had a delay at O'Hare. The delay got longer when one of the ticket agents announced that the pilot had been involved in a bad car accident and that they were trying to get a flight crew together to take the flight. As usual, most of the passengers began yelling at the agents about missed connections, appointments they simply had to make, and some even acted as if the pilot got in an accident on purpose. They were yelling at the poor agents. My mom went up to one of the agents and asked if the pilot was ok. The flustered woman smiled and said she was the only passenger to express any concern about the pilot.
I guess to the agent that kind of concern is never expressed by the typical airline passenger but that's just the way my mom is, lol.scottied67 and 48Packard Thank this. -
