For the apportioned plates its based on tractor weight? Base plates based on age of tractor?

Both are the same to me.

I get a "truck" plate for my two intrastate trucks which are based on Gross Weight they can haul, and apportioned for all of my other trucks based on weight too but also the accompanying the cab card.

Apportioned plates are based on total gross weight of everything combined, typically 80,000 pounds for 5 axles

So if you lease on wit someone else DOT# but plates are in your name do you have to pay vehicle taxes because the truck is registered in your name?
