Cheater pipe?? Is that literally what I search for online? Is that something that goes or fits with the winch bar for more leverage?

Yes, but it is 1 chain wrapped all the way around. Helps tightened the load against itself as well as the trailer….cke, CAXPT and TooTiredToTalk Thank this. -
Thank you BTW for the name of that tool....the winch bar!!

lol… no, just a piece of pipe that will fit up over the winch bar, which would basically make it longer, giving you more torque against the winch itself. But I have seen longer winch bars that would give you that extra edge, without a cheater pipe…cke, TooTiredToTalk and CAXPT Thank this. -
Check this lady out
She is very short and petite and can out do many hulk size guys I’ve seen doing flatbed
I’ve seen her walk around her trailer polishing it without hardly having to bend down for underneath
Both her and her husband have decked out rigs

I started driving when Cabovers were many on the road. My first truck was a 1973 Cabover.
Some drivers would carry a cheater pipe for their snap binders longer than usual. Being longer they wouldn’t fit in the side box under the sleeper.
I seen a guy at Machinery Hauling put his cheater pipe down beside the front edge of his mattress in his Cabover. Needless to say what happened when the truck went in the shop and the cab tilted forward, pipe rolled out and went through the windshield…

Pretty sure I got a pic of it at MATS a couple years ago. She had a witches hat on each stack, and the trailer was hooked to it…cke, GYPSY65, TooTiredToTalk and 1 other person Thank this. -
Like I said, sorry once again, I'm visual and the pic is great, but let me make sure 100% I know that we are on the same page....so pretty much you are going to put the chain under the load, wrap one side back over the load attach to trailer and the other will stay under the load
Oh heck!

cke, OLDSKOOLERnWV and CAXPT Thank this. -
Sounds pretty unique! MATS??
