Some of these company trucks, if the dashboards get any simpler, will end up with a few colorful buttons that play music, and a red light/green light indicator telling the driver when to push the pedal on the floor.
Kinda like some of Zoe's toys...

Sadly, you are correct......
-
Alot of extra work for nothing . . . . .

Hit the dock or parking slot
Set the trailer brakes, while still in reverse
Lean against the pin,set the tractor brakes
Pop the door and pull the latch on the way to the dolly crank.
Crank it down leaving about 3" till dirt, unhook the lines
Then drop the bags and roll out, work smarter not harder.
-
Truth of the matter, the majority cant be trusted with options like bag dumps and sliding 5 wheels

Heaven forbid they ever get wind of an in cab pin release ......
-
Now thats what I'm talking about .... an in cab pin release !!!! Getting old and not as strong as I use to be. -
Just Never pull the release before lowering the landing gear !!!
-
Oh noooooo! What happens when it's really, really cold outside?
-
Wouldn't know any other way ?
I paid good money for the "ability" to do so
You put the whoa (set your brakes)on the dragging end it will sit and stay while you spin 35-45 cranks to the dirt.
My brother can drop his bags, unhook his trailer and dolly down without leaving the cab.He must roll forward about 2' to unhook his air and pig tail.
The air connects are quickie style.
His frame is smoothed(boxed) and everything is unhooked from the bottom side.

Put on a coat . . . . .
