We usually get a couple container trains a day and they have been getting kind of thin. Im pretty sure Uncle Pete would like to run one big train and be done with it. Instead of a few each day.

The UPRR also stopped the Denver to Chicago direct intermodal lane, and Denver to Houston. That's killed a good portion of intermodal freight in Denver, a lot of grain shippers in western Nebraska are now shipping via OTR truck or loading to grain cars for shipment to the ports. The majority of our bean exports were HPL, they went direct to Houston, since that's been shutdown, we are now starting to get a couple of loads switched to APL/CMA or staying with HPL but going to L.A. at a higher price.
They also by eliminating the Chicago lane, we used to ship EMHU/UMXU loads of beans to Dollar General/Dollar Stores, that's gone too, all those loads are now OTR truck.RookieJ1987 and ChicagoJohn Thank this. -
You mention HPL. What does that abbreviation mean? Thanks -
