The crooks were even monitoring railroad communications and knew what was in the containers they hit .drvrtech77 Thanks this. -
Set up a sting. With the amount of boxes just tossed around it seems like there would have been plenty of time for railroad police or local police to be on top of the situation, as I'm sure this is one of those famous "high crimes areas".

Considering the AGE of the Area in Question as well the ENORMOUS AMOUNT OF TRASH & Unclaimed Bulk Items, is it not feasible to consider Such Corrupting Track Switches??

Just another example of a society in perpetual decline. The railroads do have their own police force in their yards though, I believe they sit in their vehicles and sip coffee most of the time, cynical me. For those who into train hopping, that Hobo Shoestring guy goes all over the country and makes it look easy.
