To the Op,
my advice is Number one see if you can pass a DOT physical because if you can't do that, then you're not going to be able to drive a truck. Google DOT physicals near you and see if you qualify for one by contacting the physican and if you do not what steps you have to take in order to qualify for one.
Number two, contact vocational rehabilitation in your area and see what they can do for you as far as getting tested because you will have to go through a bunch of stuff in order for them to pay for Truck Driving School. It's not like you can walk in and walk out.

Most urgent care walk-in clinics do DOT physicals. if you can, please talk to them and see what they require. I don't wanna get too personal on this forum, but if you are on antidepressants, anxiety meds you're gonna need note from your psychiatrist saying that you can drive. That's the first hoop you're gotta jump through.
If you have sleep apnea, thats number two because you're gonna need proof that you're 50% or more compliant on the machine or device used to control sleep apnea.
Number three is going to be your Primary Care Doctor signing you off if you are on any high blood pressure meds or any cholesterol meds. I know this because I've went through all of it and it's time consuming.FullMetalJacket and tscottme Thank this. -

- JB Hunt (one of the worst companies, former workers say)
But I think this may get put on the shelf, at least for the time being. What has gone down in the past 2 days screams "economy grinding to a halt" soon. I'm not pretending to be any kind of expert on the economy, but just looking at history for what happens, yeah. It doesn't look good for workers in the trucking industry.
