If you can demonstrate all the function a truck driver needs to do his/her duties I can not see why they would keep you out. There might even be a law protecting you. However, demonstrating all the functions might be a problem. If you were to modify the entire truck so you can do what every other driver does then I would think they could issued a restricted CDL allowing you to only drive the modify truck. If I were you I would go to the DMV and talk with them first. Then on to the truck makers and the brokers or whoever will be getting you loads. I would check all of that out before I would spend any amount of money . You have a very special case here and I would want it to go all the way through. Good luck and let us know what is going on.
Unique situation, where should I start?

Do not worry, there are a few people out there in trucks with this issue of height. There are a couple companies (one of them was or may be still in a Detroit 'burb) that can fit a proper seat and pedal extensions in a truck as they do in a car, the only problem is having someone accept you for a road test because you won't be able to drive it there yourself.

Wham bam get in the driver's seat Sam!
Find a fleet with automatics as I think this would be easier for you. These can be installed easily enough to even put them on a test truck.taxihacker66 Thanks this. -

Years go a company I worked at had a little guy...
Darn good driver and he even operated a wheel loader..
He had blocks of wood he clamped on the pedals... They were held together with a strip of steel on the back side and he had wing nuts on the bolts. He made them himself. Plus he had a extra seat back cushion he placed between himself and the back of the seat.
He could dolly down a trl. but if it was a lded. trl. the guy picking it up well it was kinda fun, as he just couldn't get enough crank on the landing gear to get the slack out of the landing legs.
You never knew he was short until he got out of the trk.
