if you guys are bedbuggers and get a % of the total haul, are you concerned about the new eld requirements or do you think it will be business as usual?

 

You wanna talk about making a killing? There are a few owner operaters at my co. (AR transport- highlands tx) that run three loads a day from Dayton railyard to Mt. Belview TX Exxon poly plant. Maybe use 250.00 in fuel a week . 5 days a week. Each load is flat rate 450.00. Times 3 is 1350. Times five is 6750.00 a Week. THAT'S a killing !

 

if you knew what you were doing, i.e. just do inventory and supervise you probably would have been o.k. but you probably thought you had to do all the physical work, which is pretty hard for a 58 year old

 

I'd rather be a bedbugger than a 400 lb buffet hugger

 

there are ways to get around the ELD.

 

Such as?

 

Although it has been years since l loaded or unloaded at McCollisters warehouse, they were upbeat, positive attitude and opened the warehouse on a Saturday to help me meet my schedule. Many good times had at the Alpine Lodge if it is still there in Burlington.

I work for victory packaging in Dayton nj. we supply you guys with boxes and supply. we do all the big movers, Suddath,bohrens,simonik,beltman ect. id tell you to come over here but the work can be physical on the body because we have the uhual account and that's all lift gate work
