i've had the issue EVERYWHERE. sometimes you hit the refresh button on your browser and it works. sometimes i have to hit the power button on the phone to light the screen up. and sometimes i have to reboot the phone. but the worse case. is where you have full bars and then you have NOTHING but a red circle.

never had that problem with sprint.

i'm really starting to think going back to sprint. and using a cheap plan for a verizon mifi or something. i figure i'll actually save a couple of bucks vs. sticking with verizon ONLY. and my nationwide coverage will be enhanced between the two services.

That sounds more like a phone issue rather than Verizon.

It's an android bug. I had to root my droid and upgrade to the latest android OS to get it to stop.

I am not familiar with that particular phone model.

But I do use a Verizon Droid X model and have tethered it for many hours and even days straight with it dropping the tether throughout the western part of the country. Just providing another data point that it may be a phone issue if that helps.

I've been a Millenicom customer for years and LOVE their service. I'm currently on the 20gig(VZW) plan and come in at around 15 gigs a month with some regular Netflix streaming. The bill comes out to EXACTLY $59.99 each month, no extra taxes or fees added on, the $59.99 is what gets pulled from my debit card. This month I'll probably go over my 20gigs due to watching the 4th season of Breaking Bad via Netflix, but I won't go over by much, and MCon probably won't say anything about it.

The unlimited(Sprint) plan will be a little slower, but if you need to break 20 gigs a month, every month, then thats the plan for you. If you will only break 20 gigs once every 6 months or so, then get the 20gig VZW plan and call it good. The 20gigs is a "soft" limit, but if you break it regularly then you will have issues.
