I used to have the ATT card. I ran into many areas of little or no service with it.

I have a verizon card now and have had no problem with no service at all.

Why can't you watch TV using your Verizon air card?

i think you can watch tv but they limit you to 5gig and if you watch alot of tv i think you run out of airtime.

I use a program called "Replay Media Catcher" made by a company called Applian. They won't let me post a link here so just google it. It's a $40 program, but trust me, it's worth it. What it allows you to do is go to sites like hulu and fancast (dot com behind both of those) and save the TV and video files to your hard drive instead of streaming. Then whenever I find myself going to bed in a place with a wifi connection, I set it up to grab about 20 hours of TV shows while I'm sleeping. It's pretty easy, you just launch the program, go to the page with the video you want to watch, let it start playing. Once that happens Replay Media Catcher will start recording. You then close that browser window and launch another video, let it start, then close it and then on to the next. I'll set it up to do about 20 TV shows, and when I wake up in the morning they are all right there on my hard drive. It works great for youtube videos as well. It's a great buy, it turns your laptop into kind of a hulu DVR. There are free programs out there that grab flash videos, but this is the only one I've found that works with Hulu, plus they give you a free app that plays the FLV videos, instead of using your browser.

There is a 5 gig cap which you will hit with about 20 hours of hulu, slingbox or fancast. For a few days that's enough, for a month not even close, I'm a #### tube junkie. Mr. Mustard thank you for the heads up, I'll be looking into that pronto.

I doubt the service area is very extensive, but Cricket is advertising unlimited wireless internet for under $50 a month, with no contracts.

Thanks, Millenicom is also advertising unlimited. I think they use the Verizon network?

I finally got verizon to fix my usb modem. it was an easy software upgrade to cure the connection problems. funny how it took about 8 tech support people to get it fixed. this girl only made it half way through my description of what was wrong and she was fixing it. Inmy experience most the verizon tech support sucks.
Anyways they fixed it and I'm not using it anymore. I'm leaving it home for my wife and I'm connecting through my blackberry storm
