How in the world you are going to accept a routing at 55 if your rig is castrated at 63 or whatever speed it is at?
It smells like the entire Company is trying to smile at one another in conference and praise each other at a high average speed with good ontime record, if not flat early and earlier.... sheesh.

x1Heavy and CargoWahgo Thank this.

....they just wanted to screw you on detention. A lot of times there would be no appointment or appointment window.
But if you called in no macro they would flat lie to you and just read what's on the screen already dispatched. God forbid they do a few finger taps!!!
Macro sent ...finger taps....o look it can deliver between here and here anytime.
You ask the customer what time they had you in at....they say....anytime today hour before we close.
::facepalm::
That's mega trucking....x1Heavy Thanks this. -
Hm. Interesting. I need to think carefully that over... mega trucking. herrr... that would be something. I think I best behave. Suspect there is plenty of trouble around...

You said it was a new DM. So he's either actually trying to benefit you by maximizing your time, or he's a climber that's trying to benefit himself at the expense of the extra wear and tear on you.
You'll figure out which.
I personally do not like sudden changes, unless I'm the one that can push up the schedule. You get your trip, formulate a plan, and carry it out. Maybe your plan for the good meal or shower or female companion, or all three just got scrapped due to someone changing appointment times. F that.
I've said many times, you must train your DM, not the other way around. It's usually not pretty, but it is necessary.speedyk Thanks this. -
Again, thx for everyone's thoughts. My DM waits until Im loaded, and down for the night to sleep. Ive already secured, tarped, and got my load on the road early. Ive trip planned and usually feel good and set. I always watch my hours and use my clock wisely. Then, presto the qualcomm announces a new message. Its the DM's own customized macro that says this load being a scheduled as a "crane unload". (So its very important) and that my unload is scheduled at _____ time AM. Its never the original time, its always earlier than the original load assignment by 2-4 hours. It says if I am late it "could cost the company money". Then at the bottom it says "remember, trip planning is key to every successful load". And I have a new time with no explanation Like 7am now instead of 10am. Never just asking nicely "can you arrive early?" Instead, I guess I'm not supposed to even notice the time got changed?
The first time I got that macro I was asleep outside Minneapolis, and I was like oh my god, this sounds serious! Make sure Im on time!! When I got to the yard it was still dark and there was no crane and nobody was there. I sat and realized that her macro about crane appointment is bullsht.
I dont need a fire being lit under my feet. Im naturally a go-getter and self-starting. I could be her best earner if she just didnt do this trickery and BS, just simply ask me. I like to earn!
I pretty much know she made her own lying macro because it is poorly written. Custom made to get drivers up and out early, worried. Today's 2-city unload was supposed to be "crane appointments" on both unloads. Again I found out ...neither yard 1)cared at all what time I arrived and 2)of course neither even had a crane or appts.
Sick of this. Im wondering if I can just simply ask for a new DM without making drama and explaining it all. I dont want to make waves. I was so happy and productive for months and I really liked my company truthfully. Now I feel angry every day about this DM. I cannot relax anymore and enjoy the countryside. Im stuck mad and thinking neg stuff when that's not normal for me.CargoWahgo Thanks this. -
Ask her strait up WTF? Do that before you ask for a new DM. If you can't resolve it to your satisfaction, then go to OM and ask for a new DM.
I had that when I drove for JB Hunt. I had the best DM ever, then got a new truck with a new DM that was just crap ( the DM not the truck ). I ended up quitting, but the OM called me and calmed me down, so I went back to them with another DM that new his business. -
Ah screw that.
Try the computer techniques as well.
Screw that running ragged for maybe an extra 150 mile load. And that's a maybe. Definitely someone looking to make a bonus.IluvCATS Thanks this.
