You think you used a long enough chain there? Just that left one by itself probably could have worked for both sides. :)

You move the vehicle to the end of the trailer.

I had a load of 5 small pieces,.. 4 got off in SLC,.. while the last one was delivering in ID. Along the way was a nice load paying to go to Kennewick, Wa. Didnt want to miss out,.. so moved the last machine from the upper deck to the end of the lower and used load levelers to safely load the racks.

Original load to SLC,.. minus the machine on the upper deck.

Last machine now at end of deck with new load added. Win win for everyone.

Absolutely,.. if I can grab a partial or have room,.. I will make it work.

I've been so bold as to go after a coil and set it strategically so I could also add a load of plastic pipe around it. Have pics to prove it. LOL

I would use ramps take off front and chain or strap ramps so as not to kick out. Don't think I would with car or truck but gulf cart is light. Go easy no worries

It is common to see a single coil between 2 empty 20' containers in Ontario.

Been thinking about this thread and once you make the mistake of loading it in the wrong spot, your better off spending the $100 for a rollback.

Your time isn't worth trying to run around and make a make shift ramp. More importantly, its your reputation on the line. If I'm a receiver and I see my goods being unloaded with 2x4's and milk crates as people have suggested, I'm giving my supplier an earful and telling him to never use that shipper again if he wants my business.

I improvise a lot but only if it's my company's equipment, I'm not going to risk my reputation and my company's reputation to an outside customer.

One mistep and you will quickly find out how powerful word of mouth is.

Well it all worked out and I drove it off the back on ramps, I'm not sure that cancelled piece was curse or blessing in disguise, seems I'd rather have the $$ in my pocket

I read that the other load cancelled and wasn't directing my post at you. I just can't turn my brain off and think about random ####. The hamsters in my brain love that wheel.
