Is there enough opportunity to unload the truck so we can get paid $100 extra? Is there any recommended back support that we can use so we don't snap our backs while we unload?

No, plus they are cheap when paying trainee's.

Just my experience unloading a truck, you get hot, dirty and sweaty. Not worth $100 bucks when you have to stop and take a shower and waste a bunch of time just so you look halfway professional. If you want to unload a truck or do something a like get into flatbed. You can unload, tarp, and get hot and sweaty all at the same time but you may or may not get paid extra depending on the company!!!!

i say let the company pay for the lumpers and save your time and back. 100 dollars not worth it if you get hurt
-
Wow is everyone anti-lumpers on here? I'm not an old dude by any means! I have to get my exercise in if I'm just going to sit my ### down for 10 hours.
-
I'm not anti lumping. But I want to get paid a decent amount for physical labor.
-
I'm only getting paid $350 weekly so that's not a whole lot of dough considering the time frame. If I can earn an additional $400 a month, why not? Is it that hard? Too tiring? Nothing can be worst than high school football practice right?
-
From experience, you wont get as many opportunity's as you think. So dont get your hopes up.
-
Also the company is not going to pay you what a lumper would receive.

don't know anything about stevens.. but if your set on unloading the trailer, werner has a family dollar acct where you unload the whole trailer yourself.
